This week Slackhappy Internationalâ„¢ is doing a trial run for a service request line to reach out to more people, and more types of people.
The service will respond both to corporate requests and for support requests on personal computers during the service line trial but is not far enough along in testing to be responsible for advice given on it. The representatives are volunteers.
Welcome to Slackhappy International!
Slackhappy International is an organization dedicated to bringing you the best support environment for your favorite linux distributions and BSD flavours.
We work closely with various networks to achieve this, and are based in #slackhappy on irc.freenode.org
Your participation is welcomed and encouraged, whether you're just starting out with linux, or even just thinking of switching over to a linux distribution-- or whether you're 12 years in and are building your own distro-- we can help you, and we also want your help.
How can you help? You can start by joining us on IRC and simply asking.
As a concession from recent issues with a service providing competitor, Slackhappy Internationalâ„¢ will be dropping support tickets and requests from the UK region.
If you are in the United Kingdom, and require technical support, you will be referred to ##slackware on irc.freenode.org for interactive chat.
Slackhappy International Support Resources are now under new management.
Matt will be the new contact for all inquiries.
You can probably catch him on IRC, irc.freenode.org/#slackhappy
His nick is 'mathezula'.
info@slackhappy.org is still a valid information request contact.
Dear Readers,
Sorry about the long delays while I am busy writing all the articles I promised.
The GSB Review is still scheduled to be completed in August, we're hoping it can be proofread and revised by September 1st.
The Kernel Config guide is a massive task even when doing it lazily. I'm going to keep publishing it as a living document until we have something worth a spit. There are a few pending edits I'm reading up on.
Realto Margarino, we cordially request your presence for an interview regarding Slackware Linux's development and "The Slackware Team". Whether or not this interview is published or not is up to you, as it would be more along the lines of us getting more information about some of the context that seems to be hidden, there.
Please contact us by email or drop by #slackhappy on freenode. Thanks!
